Le Strange Events: Steampunk Circus Wedding

On March 28, 2015 native Austinites Patrick “Tex” Jones and Natalie LaTorre tied the knot in a lavish wedding with a twist. Both bride and groom have a love for the Steampunk scene and wanted to incorporate that into their wedding. So naturally Emily Ivins of Le Strange events was the go to party planner for her taste of the whimsical and out of the box events. That’s when their Steampunk Circus wedding started becoming a reality.  

Guests arrived to the party at the Texas Stunt Ranch dressed in their best Steampunk attire. They were greeted by stilt walkers, jugglers, and fire throwers while on their way to the Big Top tent. As the party got under way there was a carnival ride, photo booths, cotton candy, funnel cakes, as well as delicious food from some of the top food trucks in Austin, TX. The couple definitely stopped the show when they rode in on an elephant to greet their guests as husband and wife.

After a great performance by a Vampire Cirque Soleil group, Dj Johnny Bravvo spun the tunes while the party goers danced the night away. It was definitely a night to remember for the happy couple and Le Strange events.

Le Strange Events: Miami Beach hits SXSW 2015

As the stormy skies finally granted the city of Austin a bit of reprieve for this year's SXSW party-goers, the 'must attend' event list gets longer. With every roof top and venue space maxed out, getting past the line around the block may seem impossible and perhaps a bit costly. 

Amidst the crowd, lines of food trucks, and interactive presentations attendees made their way over to The W Hotel for one of the most talked about parties of the season. As the line wrapped down the staircase, over 2,500 RSVP-ers gained entrance into the kick-off party of the SXSW 2015 season!

Known for her 'out of the box' concepts, event planner Emily Ivins of Le Strange Events, nailed yet another themed party. In celebration of THUMBTACK, an online resource helping to connect professionals with clients, Emily successfully captured the vibe not only of the Thumbtack culture but also of local Austinites alike.

Surrounded by creative, fun, and ambitious attendees, the energy was upbeat thanks to DJ's Jane Doze and DJ Qualeh. Private cabanas, lounge chairs, tanning shelves, a fireplace and small bites such as those delicious Pork Sliders provide by the WET DECK, kept everyone satisfied and ready for more. 

Not one to disappoint, Le Strange Events' PIÈCE DE RÉSISTANCE was sure to keep the crowd talking for days. Solidifying the Miami Beach theme, Le Strange brought in a trio sexy Mermaids to splash around the pool and interact with party-goers - sending each lady to reminisce about the days when she wanted to be Ariel from Little Mermaid. 

The attention to detail and execution of a spectacular event is what sets apart Emily Ivins of Le Strange Events from the rest.
